There are lots of resources out there for car buyers. Most times people worry about a lien or an accident on a car. However their are some free resources that will give you a lot more information; such as emission history, recalls or even if the car is stolen.
The best is they are free !

Of course the best resource I have found is google. If you put the make model and year and search you will get all sorts of information. I have often found common defects that are not covered under warranty or serious mechanical problems that occur often. On some occasions I have put in an error code from an OBD reader and found out that the manufacturer has extended the warranty period on a vehicle.
Most importantly you will get peoples’ personal opinion on the car itself, for example how does it drive, blind spots on the model or how they hate the cup holders.
